This marks only the second year this unique tea has been produced. The Gu Hua harvest represents an early autumn picking possible only in Qianjiazhai's cool, high-elevation mountaintops, prized by Master Zhou for its fruity, rich flavor. Traditionally used exclusively for sheng pu'er, this year saw a small portion set aside for sun-oxidation as black tea, yielding stunning results that combine sheng pu'er's juicy flavor with creamy nutty depth unique to black tea.
