Some of you may have seen my recent video where I asked you to “Check OtterList.com first before shopping on Amazon.” This is a habit I believe can really make a difference for small brands.
Amazon, Target and other big box retailers have millions of products, so shopping on OtterList for all your needs won’t be possible… at least not for a while. But for things like Low-Waste Bathroom Essentials or Sustainable Cleaning Supplies, we’ve got some great options, and many more on the way.
If we make it a habit to see if what we need is available from a small, sustainable brand first, we’ll redirect money away from multi-billion dollar corporations and into our communities and the hands of makers, founders, families, and small teams doing things the right way.
Our mission is to make it easy to find and support small brands directly. If you don’t see what you need yet, don’t worry - we’re just getting started! Every day in 2026, we’ll be onboarding new small brands, independent artists creating original work, and certified B Corps leading the way in sustainability. Keep checking back, and I’ll keep you posted along the way.
